VENEZUELA REPORT

with No Comments

In 2012 I took part in a rock climbing expedition organised by the climbing association of South Tirol to support the new climbing generation. We travelled into the heart of Venezuela’s Gran Sabana region and opened various new routes on the Auyantepui mesa. It felt strange to be in the middle of the wild, at a three days march’s distance from the “civilised” world. From time to time it does well to grow conscious of the fragility of life and feel on one’s own, far from the safety nets of modern western society.
